Courtney Neidig

Diploma (Early Childhood Education), Langara College; BA (Early Childhood Education and Care), Capilano University; MA (Education Studies in the field of Curriculum Studies), University of Western Ontario.

Courtney began in the field of early education ten years ago as an educator, working with children ranging from infants to after school age. She situates her work within an anti-colonial framework and pays particular attention to pedagogies regarding ecology, rituals and rhythms, as well as gender performativity. Her time as a community pedagogist underscores the important relationship of theory and practice for curriculum making in early education programs, which she also brings to her post-secondary teaching. When not teaching, Courtney can be found cooking, hiking, swimming, and other various activities with friends.
