Kim Fraser


Kim has worked since 1996 as a dual trained Registered Psychiatric Nurse/Registered Nurse and obtained a Bachelor or Science in Psychiatric Nursing Degree, having completed both programs at Douglas College in New Westminster. Kim currently works in acute and community psychiatric settings, and holds a position as Chair of the Health Care Assistant Program at Vancouver Island University. Kim has enjoyed being an instructor in several health programs including the Health Care Support Worker program at Douglas College, the Community Mental Health Worker and the Health Care Assistant programs at both North Island College and Vancouver Island University, the Practical Nursing program at Northern Lights College and the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program at Grande Prairie Regional College. Kim is currently completing a Graduate Diploma in Online Learning and Teaching, laddering into a Master of Education in Educational Leadership Degree through Vancouver Island University. Kim has an ongoing interest in supporting the expansion and availability of the Health Care Assistant Program at VIU.
