Stacy began working in the field of Early Childhood Education over 30 years ago as an educator for infants, toddlers, preschoolers and schooled aged children. Along with raising her two daughters, for the past 17 years, Stacy has been the Program Manager of the Early Childhood Education Centre at Queen Margaret’s School in the Cowichan Valley. Within this role, she has had the opportunity to mentor many VIU ECEC students. She is passionate about working with children, families, and community members to ensure that the care and education provided for children is safe, meaningful, inclusive, and enriched with developmental opportunities. Stacy is excited about her new role as an instructor at VIU and welcomes this opportunity as a space to foster inquiry, collaboration, and continued learning alongside her students and colleagues. When not studying or teaching, she enjoys hiking, gardening, cooking, reading, traveling and spending time with friends, family and her animals.
