Erin Davies

Instructor

Erin has been an educator for over 20 years in various roles and settings. She is a white settler of Welsh and other European ancestry. She holds a Bachelor of Music from McGill University, a Bachelor of Education from UBC and a Master of Education from Memorial University. The cornerstone of her pedagogy is a deep understanding of how brain development affects attachment and learning. She is an advocate for and practitioner of trauma-informed, culturally-safe education, health and other social services for all learners. She’s worked with families, support workers, teachers and community supports to access resources and create neuro-affirming spaces for a diverse population. She currently works as a contractor supporting autistic learners online, in addition to sessional instruction with VIU in the ABE and EACS departments.
