Centre for Community Outreach and Care 2015-16 Project
This is an inter-professional project with the Dental Hygiene program geared towards social justice for children and families in Harewood community. Dental Hygiene students will be providing free teeth cleaning services for children in the Harewood community. CYC students will be creating and providing parent workshops while the children are getting their teeth cleaned. Community partners in this program are the Dental Hygiene program at VIU and Elementary schools in Harewood.
We are very excited about this work within our community in collaboration with those providing needed services to vulnerable children, youth and their families.
